Upon hearing that Aberdeen-based musician, Jack Skinner, had been employed to compose the score for an upcoming Scottish martial arts film, HongKongFury.com met with the young artist – discussing his passion for music and the Hong Kong action genre.
A self-confessed martial arts and Hong Kong action film enthusiast, Skinner (aged 22), having had a life-long love for music, has naturally been drawn to music composition, becoming proficient in a varied selection of instruments. In addition to performing with two bands, Skinner enjoys writing and composing his own material.
A newcomer to film composition, his upcoming work the production of ‘Shadow of the (North) East’, will no doubt act as an exciting challenge for him.
