The latest trailer for Jackie Chan’s upcoming flick, ‘Bleeding Steel’ – directed by Leo Zhang – has recently been released via social media. Chan took to Facebook yesterday to promote the trailer – “Check out the latest trailer to my upcoming new film, Bleeding Steel. Fans in HK get to see it from December 28!”. This trailer marks the last, before the theatrical release of the film later this month.
The special-effects and action are on full display here, giving this action/science fiction/thriller, some exciting potential. Despite this feature only being Leo Zhang’s second directorial credit (imdb.com), Chan being cast in the lead role will more than likely draw cinema goers in their droves – both in his native homeland and abroad.
In typical fashion, Chan will star as a highly-trained law enforcement operative, tasked with protecting a young woman (Ouyang Nana – ‘Beijing Love Story’) from a ruthless criminal enterprise – with events taking a very unexpected turn. Australian-born actor, Callan Mulvey (‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ & ‘300: Rise of An Empire’) will be portraying Chan’s formidable on-screen foe.
The film is slated for a Hong Kong theatrical release date of the 28th of December 2017, with a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on the 22nd.
No confirmed release has been announced for UK audiences, however, a limited theatrical release can be expected somewhere in the near future, given that UK audiences often have to wait a while after the initial release of Chan’s Chinese flicks.
HongKongFury.com will be sure to follow the reception of ‘Bleeding Steel’, and provide a review when possible!
